A lot of inspiration from biblical imagery and Greek mythology. As a kid, I enjoyed reading Greek mythology. Although I’m not religious, growing up I was forced to attend church and have always liked classical art.

- My last name is derived from the Arabic word for sword which influenced the swords.
- The ornamental dagger is a rendering of the physical object I acquired as a child at a souk in Damascus

Despite the idea that people look to religion for a moral compass, throughout history it’s often been the cause of violence and oppression. The demon symbolizes free will while the angel symbolizes the evils of religion.
Gorilla:
The angry gorilla tearing out of a suit symbolizes the Cognitive dissonance of being an individual freely expressing themselves while feeling pressured to adhere to societal norms and expectations.
Lion:
Firstly I’m a Leo, but one of the meanings of the lion eating the sun is the lion felt an uncontrollable urge to cause destruction and tried to eat the sun.
