- The stars: I started with three stars on my chest which represent Orion’s Belt, the constellation, but they also represent my mom, my brother, and me. I decided to add 17 so I would have 20 in total, my age :)
-The orca whale: Represents my dad, that’s his favorite animal.
-The rose: I got it with my mom, she has the same one in the same place
-The ladybug: it’s for good luck and I got it from a classmate at my dorms
-“Burn heaven” and “flood hell”: It’s from a quote I read in a book the full quote is “ A woman so strong that she can burn heaven and flood hell”
- The poker card: represents my queerness and how proud I am of also liking women
- The Medusa: I like the story where Athena didn’t punish Medusa but gave her powers as a gift to protect her against men. So I like to think that tattoo also protects me. I didn’t know survivors got Medusa tattooed until after I got it.
